Default largest tire on stock kk liberty with 16' wheels

I would like to know what is the largest tires that will fit on a stock kk 2008 liberty. I now have 245-70-16 looking to go to 255-70-16. Anyone have experience in this area?

seeing as how you are only going 5 mm wider, I would say you should be fine...

Why would you want to go wider and not taller???? You do afterall get more groundclearnace if you go taller.

1/2 inch total overall hieght only = 1/4" more height at the top of the tire. IMHO if you are within 1" of the factory size, you are not really changing the tire size. This could be the differance of just simply buying a tire with a more aggressive and deeper tread pattern.

no one has gone a 255/70-16 yet but to work out the size different is the 255 is .6" bigger in diameter putting .3 on each side of the wheel well... it would be extremely clost... maybe band on the pinch weld and cut some of your wheel lining close
