Default Front seat change in 2004 GC Laredo

I bought a 2004 SE 4.7 v8 with cloth seats and the driver seat is totally broken down and only one out of all six gear motors is good... the other five have bad teeth on the screw shafts but all the motors and motor worm gears are good. I did some searching and 04 Grand Voyager uses the same motors. I'm also going to check my 03 Ram to see what it has for gear motors.I'm going on a junkyard hunt in a few days and I'm wondering what other Mopar vehicles use those motors and if anyone can tell me what other seats are a good replacement just in case I replace both front seats. Craig

Did you find any other seats and/or motors that work? I have the same issue.

Not really. I read the ram motors are the same but not exactly true. Its been so long now but I think the horiz. slider motor and one of the vert. motors is the same. The yokes on the screw ends are a little different, too. I searched and found rebuild kits for the plastic gear/screws for our Jeeps but they are high... $55 for the vert screws and $110 for the horiz screws. I ended up getting manual junkyard seats and they had the nicer premium cloth, like my Ram, but the driver seat still needed some welding on the frame but it wasn't totally crunched like the one I took out. I spent a half day straightening, welding and reinforcing on the frame and it will never crush down again! The driver seat foam was trashed so I took the foam off of my old passenger seat and did some surgery and made it fit the driver seat frame and I glued fabric to the bottom side of the foam in all the places it has a tendency to split over the frame tubes. Then I took 4 springs from the old spare seat and added them to the driver seat frame, right under my butt, for extra support. I put the seats together and took them to a detailer and he made them look like new again. I have a total of $235 in the front and rear seats and got the premium cloth besides. I put them back in with the manual slides to see if I liked the position before spending more $$ on the screw kits and I like them just fine. About 30 lbs of old broken power sliders are going to the recycle yard, the next trip. I have bad back and hip problems and I just got back from a 4300 mile trip and that's the only seat I ever had that actually makes me feel better. I'm delighted with it! Craig
Oh yeh, I remember reading that 02-04 caravan seats have our motors but I wasn't going to waste my time looking and not finding good motors.
