I use Rotella T5 10-30

prev. was valv. ML for many years, until I learned about the benefits of diesel oil in the 4.0, and the fact that ML started adding recycled oil to there recipe.

Got almost 3K on the Sahara and had enough quarts of Royal Purple left over from the wife's Charger R/T (5w20) to do the change.

Royal Purple in my Challenger, Grand Cherokee and G6. I currently have Mobil 1 in my Suburban and my Ram50. I will most likely change everything over to Royal Purple soon.

good move,
RP is not what it's cracked up to be, Jeeps constantly have better UOA's with other oils that don't have the RP hype,
like pennzoil platinum
mobil 1
Rotella

Mobil1 syn all the way.... but then I add 1 quart of Lucas Syn stabilizer... I like how the Lucas climbs the gears in the kiosk display at the auto-part stores... in addition to being a good product..

A little background...

I have a 1988 Fiero GT that I received from my Dad once he'd passed. From day one he used Mobil1 synthetic... I recently swapped engines to to keeping the original under 100,000.. plus to make it better, of course... It read 96,000 something.. Anyway, I opened up the original to grab parts; intake, valve cover, timing cover, etc. Not one area with sludge or any damaged wear... Nothing but Perfect! I will always use Mobil1 from now on.

just did my own oil change, at 1000miles ,break in.It'll go to the dealer for free oil changes(every 7500, or 6 months) until warranty is up, then ill do it myself . been doing it 30 yrs , no issues, 3 out 5 times i took it somewhere, had issue, with gasket, drain plug too tight, filter crimped etc. with that cartridge filter , on top, what a breeze !15/16 socket, pops right off, no drips, rather let it drain completely for 20 minutes , go in get a cup coffee, come back out and finish up.
