Thumbs down Mirror trouble

Ok, I purchased the mirror relocation kit for my JK from Rugged Ridge. The instructions said to remove the OEM mirrors, rotate the mirror back and forth in the bracket, corrosion may be keeping it tight and some force may be needed to remove the mirror and post. Well some force broke the drivers side male key for the post slot and the drivers side mirror came of but I found it wasn't corrosion holding it in, it was the keyed slot which prevents the post from turning in the bracket. Some force applied to the passenger side broke the entire post so now the mirror is junk. RR hasn't been very sympathetic to my case and said there's nothing wrong with their directions. Not crazy about their customer service right now.

That sucks, sorry to hear about that. I've found sometimes when dealing with the customer service people, calling back at a later time, you end up talking to someone else who may be more helpful/sympathetic. It seems it's all in who answers the phone. Good luck though!

Ive the same kit and had a few problems with it. My biggest problem though is I cant separate the mirror and post from the bracket, any suggestions?
Is there perhaps another kit out there which includes mirrors?

I have not seen a mirror relocation bracket yet on the market that I thought was worth a darn.

I have the safari mirrors and I love em. I can still see out the passenger side mirror with them as well.

My factory mirrors stay on the doors where they belong.

I feel If i'm able enough to take off the door I'm able enough to do a few turns of the wrench and put on my safari mirrors with the doors off.
